Testing method for axial clearance of rolling bearings

For the axial clearance detection of centripetal bearings (except tapered roller bearings), the principle is similar to that of radial clearance detection.

1, special instrument to measure axial clearance

When the axial clearance is measured with a special instrument, the outer ring is fixed and the axial displacement of the inner ring from one limit position to another is measured.

The operation process of the instrument: Bearing 7 through handle 3 drive bearing outer ring fixed pin, throw the handle 2 load 1 up jacking bearing inner ring, coping force Q, throw the handle control CAM 4 5 down load, load axial force 2 Q 4 downward, and push the bearing inner ring moves down, the actual applied to inner ring down load for 20 – Q=Q, The difference between the two gauges is the axial clearance. The measured load Q has certain value requirements, should be calibrated according to the requirements before use.

2. Simple measurement of axial clearance

During measurement, the bearing under test is placed on the bracket of the instrument, the circular piece is placed on the end face of the inner ring, and then the index finger is used to push the inner ring up from the bottom, and the thumb is used to press the circular piece downward. The difference between the two meters is the axial clearance value. When operating, the manual afterforce should be uniform, and the clearance should be the arithmetic mean value of the measured value of the inner ring after three rotations.

Proper clearance installation is conducive to the normal operation of rolling bearings. In addition, to improve the rigidity of the rotary bearing or reduce the noise, the working clearance should be further negative; When the bearing temperature rises sharply, the working clearance should be further taken as a positive value.
