How to debug bearings after installation

After the bearing is installed, the specified lubricant is added, and then a trial run is carried out to check whether there is noise and the temperature of the bearing.
 
The test run should be carried out under partial load. In the case of a large speed range, it should be run at low and medium speed.
 
Under no circumstances should self-alting roller bearings be started and accelerated to high speed under no-load conditions, as rolling parts may slip on the bearing raceway and damage the raceway, and the cage may be subjected to unacceptable pressure. Under normal circumstances, the bearing will emit a uniform “grunt” sound.
 
Bearing squeal or sharp harsh sound, indicating inadequate lubrication.
 
The bearing emits uneven rumble or thumping sound, mostly because there are debris in the bearing, or the bearing is damaged in the installation process.
 
It is normal for the bearing temperature to rise immediately after starting.
 
For example, in the case of grease lubrication, the bearing temperature will not decrease until the grease is evenly distributed within the bearing, and then the equilibrium temperature will be reached.
 
Abnormal high temperature or increasing temperature indicate that there may be too much lubricant inside the bearing, or the bearing has radial or axial deformation, or the clearance is too small. Other causes include improper manufacturing or installation of related components, or excessive friction of seals.
 
In the test run process or just after the test run, should check the seal, check whether it works normally, should also check the lubrication equipment and oil tank oil level. Lubricant samples may also be taken to determine whether the bearing interior is contaminated or whether parts inside the bearing are worn.
