1. Calcium-based grease This is the grease commonly known as butter. It is the most widely used grease in the automotive maintenance industry. This grease is a technology from the 1930s. In developed countries, it is already a product that has been eliminated. Due to its low price, it is also widely used in the automobile maintenance industry. Strongly recommend not to use this kind of product again. At least not in your own car. 2. Graphite calcium base grease Usually black, this is because a certain proportion of flake graphite is added to the grease, which has good water resistance and rolling resistance. It is especially suitable for the lubrication of rear steel plates of automobiles. Tests from related parties have proved that the service life of automobile leaf springs lubricated by graphite calcium-based grease is more than double that of ordinary butter. It is recommended that car owners stop using ordinary butter to lubricate the rear wheel steel plates. 3. Lithium-based grease for automobiles This is a grease commonly used in the modern automotive industry. It has the characteristics of long life, good water resistance and good lubricating effect. It is an alternative to ordinary butter. It can be used for the lubrication of most automobiles. Its service life is twice that of calcium-based grease. 4. Extreme pressure lithium complex grease This is a grease with higher extreme pressure and anti-wear properties than general purpose lithium grease. It should be noted that lubricating grease has the same grade as lubricating oil to be suitable for different ambient temperatures and operating conditions. Generally speaking, the higher the number, the more viscous it is. Usually, 2# can be used throughout the year in the south, and 1# can be used in winter in the north. 3# is only suitable for tropical heavy-duty vehicles. Of course, strictly speaking, the choice of grease is also affected and restricted by other factors.
